THAAD Program Support
Abstract
This activity provides support for efforts such as communications and interoperability upgrades to operate on joint, service, or allied communications networks. This activity provides support for safety and mission assurance requirements, and support of independent government offices as part of the Materiel Release process. Recurring efforts include: - Interoperability development and maintenance to ensure the weapon system is authorized to operate on joint, service, or allied communications networks, and - Safety confirmation and verification testing, preparation and approvals of System Safety Risk Assessments, issuance of hazard classifications and safety releases, insensitive munitions approvals and waivers, and independent oversight and support in the areas of reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) and quality assurance.
