Submarine Torpedo Defense System (SubTDS)
Abstract
The ADC MK5 Acoustic Countermeasure (ACAT III) developmental contract awarded in Sep 2018 and is currently in the Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase. The first effort of the overall SubTDS program focuses on delivering full internal countermeasure launcher functionality to all submarines in the fleet via the Acoustic Device Countermeasure (ADC) MK5 effort. The second increment focuses on the External Countermeasure Launcher (ECL) hosted 6-inch acoustic countermeasure, to be known as the ADC MK6 effort.
