Materials Discovery for Extreme Environments
Abstract
Research will focus on material discovery for next-generation ballistic materials by using accelerated material-by-design approach to include consideration of nonhomogeneous, anisotropic, and hierarchical material systems. A data-driven material design approach will be developed utilizing high-throughput material processing and characterization, multi-scale modeling, and machine intelligence to produce leap-ahead material solutions.
