Prototype Upgrade to LRIP Configuration
Abstract
After a successful Milestone C, eight (8) vehicles will be retrofitted to LRIP configuration to support LRIP phase survivability testing, logistics products development, and implementation of corrective design changes driven by failures that arise during Production Qualification Testing (PQT) and Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E). Upgrading MPF prototypes to LRIP configuration will result in substantial cost avoidance compared with producing additional LRIP vehicles to support test requirements.
