Warrior Injury Assessment Manikin (WIAMan)

Abstract

This work develops an improved demonstrator blast test manikin, data acquisition system, and injury prediction methods and tools that incorporate new medical research and which provides an improved capability to measure and predict skeletal injuries for vehicle occupants during under-body blast events. Transfer of responsibilities and funding from PE 0602787A (Medical Technology)/Project 869 (Warfighter Health Protection & Performance Standards, Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (MRMC) to ARL effective Fiscal Year (FY) 2015. This effort is coordinated with PE 0602601A (Armor Applied Research) and PE 0603005A (Combat Vehicle Survivability).
