Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine

Abstract

This effort conducts basic studies of mechanisms of tissue growth and traumatic injury to gain an understanding that will assist or facilitate the healing or transplantation process. The focus is placed on severe trauma to the limbs, head, face (including eye), genitalia (organs of reproduction), and abdomen. In FY15 and 16 the funding for this research effort is in project S14. The Clinical and Rehabilitative Medicine basic research effort has a separate project starting in FY17 (ET6).
