Fire Control System for Special Operation Forces (SOF) Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) Grenade Launcher (Special Operations Command)
Abstract
Validation testing of a fire control system that will extend the effective range of the MK13 Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module from 200 to 600 meters in an effort to counter rocket propelled grenade threats. The primary output is an integrated fire control and ammunition programming system needed to fire a medium velocity (extended range) 40mm programmable grenade from the MK13. Fielding reduction is greater than five years.
