Abstract
Mature and demonstrate technologies that improve the operational availability of rotorcraft while reducing operating and support (maintenance) costs. Efforts include component sensing, diagnostics, prognostics, and control systems. Far-term objective is to enable transition to an ultra-reliable, low maintenance design approach that significantly reduces unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and operating and sustainment costs.
