Pyrophoric Decoy Second Source (Navy)
Abstract
Pyrophoric Decoy Second Source tests a second source for Military Jamming Unit (MJU-49/B) and (MJU-64/B) pyrophoric decoys. Currently, only one source for the flare material exists; however, this effort will establish and qualify a second source to manufacture these items. The primary outputs are a second source for MJU-64/B and the MJU-49/B pyrophoric decoys for the US Navy and other Services, decreased unit costs, and ensure a steady supply of decoys in the event of a production disruption or increased demand.
