Comparative Test of 1000 volt Direct Current (DC) Power Systems for Directed Energy (Navy/USMC)
Abstract
This project comparatively tests a Norwegian off-the-shelf large-scale energy storage system designed for maritime use against a comparable domestic product. This supports development of next generation directed-energy weapon systems for naval platforms. If successful, this technology will transition to the Navy's Guided Missile Destroyer program office to inform requirements for next generation platform development.
