DCA

Abstract

This effort provides for the assessment of Dual Capable Aircraft (DCA) weapon integration impacts on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft, early in the weapon design phase. It identifies and avoids potential technical and cost risks, as well as defining the integration and certification trade-space to field the DCA capability with the B61 weapon. This effort also supports follow-on risk reduction efforts that will ensure future integration alignment with the first feasible post SDD block upgrade, and is expected to include full integration efforts pending Service decisions.
