Aeromedical Readiness
Abstract
This program provides tactical and strategic aeromedical evacuation systems, automated information systems, and medical treatment equipment to meet unique Air Force medical readiness and operational requirements. Current efforts include the Deployable Oxygen System (DOS), Field Intravenous Resuscitation (FIVR), and the Blood Oxygenation System (BOS) programs. The Aeromedical Readiness program is in RDT&E Budget Activity 5 - Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) because it supports development, testing, and evaluation of systems and equipment for patient care during contingency operations and aeromedical evacuations.
