Prototype Upgrade to LRIP Configuration
Abstract
After a successful Milestone C, eight (8) prototype vehicles will be updated to the initial LRIP configuration to support LRIP phase survivability testing, logistics products development, and implementation of design changes driven by Production Qualification Testing (PQT) and Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E). Upgrading MPF prototypes to LRIP configuration will result in substantial cost avoidance compared with producing additional LRIP vehicles to support test requirements.
