Artificial Intelligence and Data Accelerator

Abstract

ADA is a DSD initiative to accelerate the deployment of data-enabled automation platform and development capabilities to each CCMD. ADA is designed to help CCMDs determine their long-term data and AI capability and needs and whether existing platforms can be scaled to address them. This funding addresses the AI component of ADA which will enable AI capability development and demonstration across three subcomponents: AI-Enabled Joint Operating System; CCMD Experimentation; and AI Integration Service Programs. ADA is a three-year effort (FY 2022-2024) directed by the DSD to accelerate the deployment of data- enabled automation platforms and development capabilities to each CCMD. It is designed to transform how CCMDs conduct globally-integrated data management, including both warfighting and business decision analytics, and provide a data foundation to enable workflow and command and control automation capabilities. ADA is a campaign of learning to identify data and joint all domain command and control (JADC2) operational needs, discover obstacles to implementation of modern capabilities, and develop joint solutions. The ADA initiative is led by the Department’s new CDAO.
