Strategic Mission Planning & Execution System
Abstract
Program is NOT a new start. In FY 2024, PE 0101324F, Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN), Project 675029, ISPAN Increment 5, PE 0301112F and Nuclear Planning & Execution Network (NPES), Project 673768, NPES Recapitalization, efforts were transferred to PE 0304100F, Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES), Project 675029, Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES), aligning legacy PEs under single PE to begin SMPES integration efforts. SMPES will be the USAF and U.S. strategic nuclear forces' principal nuclear planning and analysis tool for accessing consequence analysis tools and strategic deterrence. SMPES consolidates the following six independently managed programs into one system: 1) Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN); 2) Global Adaptive Planning Collaborative Information Environment (GAP CIE); 3) Decision Support Service (DSS); 4) Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES); 5) Force Status Readiness (FSR); and 6) Force Survivability Analysis and Management (FSAM).
