MEDIUM CALIBER AMMUNITION

Abstract

Funding on Project 694 supports the purchase and test of the 40mm Hell Hound cartridge. The Hell Hound is a low velocity 40mm cartridge fired from the M203 and M320 grenade launchers. The purpose of the test is to determine whether the Hell Hound can breech doorways from a distance by infantry forces in a more efficient and safer manner than currently available with other methods.
