Project 1319: Submarine Launched Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV)

Abstract

The most challenging aspect of submarine Autonomous Underwater Vehicle operations is the homing and docking recovery. Project 1319 provides the Navy with a capability to launch and recover Remote Environmental Monitoring Units (REMUS) AUVs from a submarine dry deck shelter (DDS).
