Battlespace Environmental Monitoring System (BEMS)
Abstract
This project developed a system to detect radio frequency (RF) emissions in certain portions of the RF spectrum. Detection will inform the radiometer community in remote sensing programs on RF Interference sources, inform Department of Defense of emergent RF emitters and report unusual RF emission patterns that are detected in the environment. The project included the production and fielding of a distributed set of six units to three operational naval vessels that operate in high risk environments. Details of the project are classified.
