AEGIS FLT III DESTROYER BL 10 UPGRADES
Abstract
Develops and delivers AEGIS FLT III Destroyer BL 10 upgrades. AEGIS BL 10 2024 includes the following warfighting improvements; SPY-6 (AMDR), BMD 6.0, Close in Weapons System (CIWS) point defense sensor integration, TDL J3.4 Message, and MK 160 Gun Computing System (GCS) improvements. Computer Program development is required to support AEGIS Light Off (ALO) on the first ship installation on DDG 125 in the 2nd QTR FY22. AEGIS BL 10 2026 will provide critical warfighter performance improvements to the AEGIS FLT III Destroyers. AEGIS BL 10 2026 combat system development efforts include further integration of the Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) SPY-6 performance updates, BMD6.0.1, MK6 Mod1, and Cyber updates. Fields to new construction FLT III DDG beginning FY26 in support of Air and Missile Defense Commander fleet requirement, BMD Flight Test Missions, and Initial Operating Capability (IOC). SPY-6 Backfit delivers improved Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities to select FLT IIA DDGs with the integration of a modified SPY radar variant. First SPY-6 backfit will be on USS PINKNEY (DDG 91) in 2027.
