Applied Research to Prevent Bacterial Diseases

Abstract

Optimize antigens and platforms for use in animal studies. Evaluate bacterial diarrheal vaccine candidates for safety, effectveness, and immunogenicity in animal models to advance to human clinical trials (Enterotoxigenic Escherichia Coli, Shigella and Campylobacter). Examine host/pathogen/vector interactions for scrub typhus and other Rickettsial diseases.
