13) Transformational Medical Technologies Initiative
Abstract
Development of Platform Technologies: Focuses on advanced technology and development activities for Platform Technologies to include the maturation of components that will begin the process of integrating a countermeasure response pipeline. In addition, animal models will be authenticated against challenge material and ready to support clinical trials. Off-the-shelf technologies will be identified, evaluated, and refined to demonstrate the ability to provide drug development capabilities. Advanced manufacturing platforms will continue to mature and the technology application will focus on the type of specific therapeutics under development.
