Ballast Water Management

Abstract

The National Invasive Species Act (NISA) requires the Secretary of Defense to implement a Ballast Water Management (BWM) program to minimize the risk of introduction of unwanted species and pathogens from releases of ballast water. FY20 increase to support BWM tasking related to testing of both commercial and modified commercial BWTS.
