Irregular Warfare (IW)
Abstract
Modeling for IW will put the Army on the path toward achieving its strategic objectives through indirect means with the same degree of dominance it employs in major combat operations. Military operations associated with IW are Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Stability Operations (SO), Counterinsurgency (COIN), Combating Terrorism (CT), Unconventional Warfare (UW), and application of the dynamics of cultural and human behavior.
