Multi Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) and Wide Bandgap Optoelectronics

Abstract

Develop MFRFS for use on small ground and air vehicles and future Soldier technologies. Develop understanding of phenomenology for an integrated RF sensor that performs radio, radar, and control functions to allow communications, combat ID, target acquisition/tracking, active protection, and munitions-command guidance. Develop Aluminum-Gallium-Nitride based semiconductor UV optoelectronics for communications, water/air/surface purification, and photoluminescent detection of biological threats.
