4) Enhanced/Emerging Biothreat Sensing
Abstract
Establish a capability responsive to detecting emerging and enhanced biological threats across all force echelons (presumptive, field confirmatory, theater validation, and definitive identification) through a pathogen-agnostic laboratory workflow coupled with advanced computational tools that produce a field ready test. field forward detection capabilities to detect emerging and enhanced biological threats across all force echelons. Further, advanced biological measurement approaches and data processing sciences to understand if a biological sample presents threat characteristics that could harm the warfighter. Leveraged modern laboratory capabilities and synthetic biology methods to deliver enhance biothreat sensing capabilities to the Joint Force.
