LGM-30G Fast Rising B-Plug Energy Storage System-Replacement (FRBP ESS-R)

Abstract

The FRBP ESS-R provides security functions for the Personnel Access System (PAS) of the LFs. It is a 14,000 pound cylinder with 12 locking pins used to deny/delay access to intruders during LF maintenance activities. This effort includes critical hardware modifications to address high obsolescence risk and reliability issues affecting the operational wings.
