Science-based Enhancements to Network Defense and Security (SENDS)
Abstract
SENDS is a multidisciplinary approach to network operations and defense. It seeks synergy through the integration of basic sciences such as biology, physics and the social sciences with advanced modeling and simulation techniques and enlightened policies and educational concepts to produce more secure and resilient computer networks and warfighting operations environments. The project will develop and test SENDS capabilities to provide a neutral, highly collaborative experimental setting that accommodated transparent interactions between heretofore discrete and non-interacting approaches to cyberspace operations.
