Underbody Blast & Occupant Protection

Abstract

This effort investigates and designs tools, techniques, and technologies for protection against mine/improvised explosive device (IED) blast threats, ballistic shock mitigation, and fuel/ammunition fires to enable survivability of current and future platforms. This research is coordinated with Program Element (PE) 0602601A (Armor Applied Research) and PE 0603005A (Combat Vehicle Survivability).
