Abstract
This effort performs sustained multidisciplinary discovery-based research that combines state-of-the-art methods in synthetic biology with novel techniques for biologically-enabled material synthesis and characterization. This fundamental research program provides a firm foundation of biotechnological knowledge that serves as a robust platform for design and development of biologically-enabled materials and technologies for Army-relevant applications and priorities.
