Local Area Atmospheric Prediction for Geospatial Applications (formerly Atmospheric Prediction for Local Areas)
Abstract
This effort designs and determines software models and sensors to improve local characterization and prediction of atmospheric conditions in urban and complex terrain by directly integrating atmospheric boundary layer (the lowest part of the atmosphere in contact with the surface) meteorological measurements into high resolution models and decision aids and validates these improvements with field measurements.
