Damage Control Resuscitation
Abstract
This effort supports work required to validate safety and effectiveness of drugs and medical procedures to control bleeding, maintain metabolism (the chemical processes that are required to maintain life) and minimize harmful inflammation after major trauma. Efforts focus on stopping bleeding, preserving tissue function and preventing or minimizing secondary organ failure (including brain and spinal cord injury).
