Ballistic and Blast Protection for Dismounted Soldiers

Abstract

This effort develops unique physics based models to understand the deflection and stress wave interactions with the human during the complex target interactions between threats and personal protective equipment (PPE). Use of this knowledge framework to develop low TRL PPE concepts that are informed by the human effects during impact and blast events.
