CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, NUCLEAR, AND EXPLOSIVES (CBRNE)
Abstract
The CBRNE subgroup’s objective is to improve defense capabilities to meet tomorrow’s CBRNE threats. To meet this objective, the subgroup focuses on rapid research, development, test and evaluation on threat characterization; materials attribution; personal protective equipment; detection of CBRNE materials at trace and bulk levels at point, proximity and stand-off distances; development of information resources and decision support tools to assist response elements with risk-based decision making; and consequence management for post-event activities.
