Imaging Laser Radar (LADAR)
Abstract
Investigate eye-safe, scanned and scannerless three dimensional (3-D) LADAR for both long-range reconnaissance and short-range unmanned ground and air vehicle applications. Conduct studies on technologies for long-range non-cooperative biometric identification. Investigate optical limiter designs with promising nonlinear materials for passive protection of electro-optic (EO) vision systems from damage from laser threat devices.
