Active Expendable Decoys (Air Force)

Abstract

This project evaluates expendable Digital Radio Frequency Memory countermeasures for use on 4th Generation Fighter aircraft. This technology provides increased protection against modern air-to-air and surface-to-air radio frequency guided missiles. If successful, the technology will transition to F-15, F-16, and F-18 electronic warfare programs for procurement. Test planning and contract preparation occurred in 2Q-4Q FY 2019. This project continues in FY 2020 with FY 2020 funds.
