Zero-Footprint Base Camp

Abstract

Zero-Footprint Base Camp reduces the logistics footprint of the expeditionary base camp system, with the goal being a significant reduction in fuel, water, and power requirements to sustain operations in the field. Operating a base camp such as Force Provider requires a significant amount of logistics support and also produces an enormous amount of by products, both of which cost money, human effort (that means a risk in the form of soldiers on the road), and represents a potential vulnerability.
