Multimodal Hostile Fire Detection System

Abstract

The Multimodal Hostile Fire Detection System (MHFDS) integrates multiple hostile shot detection technologies through data fusion algorithms and ballistic models. The system will be designed to conduct point-of-origin shot detection and classify threats in multi-shooter scenarios. This effort is a critical subsystem for RRTO’s Remote Weapon Station (RWS) Auto Prioritization, Targeting, and Operator Cueing (RAPTOR) project. This effort will also transition proof of principle technologies, fulfilling a requirement for the Army Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (Expeditionary) (GBOSS(E)).
