Rapid Three-Dimensional (3D) Terrain Mapping (United States Special Operations Command)
Abstract
This project evaluates the capability of a foreign system to provide rapid high-resolution 3D geo-spatial terrain data and produce a shareable global map for navigation in GPS denied or degraded areas. This new, robust capability will provide the war-fighter with expedient, precise, 3D navigational tools necessary for effective mission planning, digital close air support, and battle-space awareness.
