Environmental Health and Protection
Abstract
This effort conducts research on the physiological (human physical and biochemical functions) mechanisms of exposure to extreme heat, cold, altitude, and other environmental stressors. This effort establishes scientific evidence for specific and sensitive diagnostics of exertional heat illness to optimize Warfighter performance in austere environments.
