Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Combat Systems, and Intelligence Modernization Process (C5IMP) and Fleet Readiness (C5ISR)

Abstract

This program is required to support the fleet C5ISR Modernization Policy, per COMUSFLTFORCOM/COMPACFLT Inst. 4720.3B, validates the introduction of new systems into the Fleet and ensures system maturity prior to installation, thereby reducing risk and enhancing readiness and effectiveness of deploying ships and strike groups. Project Engineers (PEs) and System Engineers (SEs) identify and analyze integration and interoperability issues in a Strike Group context, assessing operational impacts against fleet requirements, capabilities, and limitations and providing recommendations for resolution. On-Site Representatives (OSRs) are embedded with the FLTCDRs and TYCOMs and are utilized to address, coordinate and resolve C5IMP modernization issues. Funded under Fleet Response Plan (FRP) in prior years.
