Active Protection Armament Technologies
Abstract
This effort supports the Army's Active Protection System (APS) program to mature and demonstrate APS technologies to reduce vehicle weight while reducing reliance on armor through the use of other means such as sensing, warning, hostile fire detection, and active countermeasures to achieve increased protection against current and emerging threats. This effort is done in coordination with efforts in Program Element (PE) 0602601A, PE 0602618A, PE 0603004A, PE 0603005A, PE 0603270A, and PE 0603313A.
