Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (ISRT)

Abstract

This project develops laser target designators for integration onto a small form factor gimbal to support ISR and targeting missions. This project reduces the size, weight, and power (SWaP) of the gimbal, integrate tracking and targeting algorithms, and optimize optical and laser performance. These improvements enable precision fires while conducting ISR missions with a small unmanned aerial system (UAS). Design of the ISRT prototype initiated in FY 2022.
