Viral Threats Research
Abstract
This effort designs and laboratory tests new vaccine candidates against HIV, dengue and other hemorrhagic fever viruses such as hantaviruses (cause of Korean hemorrhagic fever) and other lethal viruses (i.e., Lassa fever and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever), and assesses other non-vaccine technologies to protect against such lethal viral diseases. Efforts also include establishment and maintenance of clinical trial sites worldwide.
