Radar Sensing and Phenomenology
Abstract
This effort develops the technical underpinnings of radar and other active and passive radio frequency (RF) sensing modalities for several key Army requirements. Focus in on cost effective radar concepts to enhance the situational awareness and navigation capabilities of US Army rotorcraft, allowing safe operation in Degraded Visual Environment (DVE). This research uses a combination of advanced computational electromagnetic models and algorithms, radar measurements, active and passive RF sensing technologies, and advanced signal processing.
