8) Neurologic Therapeutics
Abstract
Focuses on therapeutic strategies to effectively minimize neurologic injuries resulting from exposure to chemical warfare agents (CWA). This effort involves the development of neuroprotectants, anticonvulsants, and improved neurotransmitter restorers. Supports eventual Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensure of new compounds or new indications for licensed products for use in the treatment of chemical warfare casualties.
