UPPER-LEVEL PRECESSION PHOTOGRAPHY AND THE LORENTZ-POLARIZATION CORRECTION

Abstract

A set charts is presented for the Lorentz-polarization correction for upper-level precession photographs obtained with a 30 deg precession angle. The charts cover 7 levels in reciprocal space, 0.05 rlu apart, and correspond to a 5.5-cm magnification factor. By superimposing x-ray films on the charts, the corrections can be read off at the positions at which diffraction spectra occur.
