WIND VELOCITY, JANUARY 1951-SEPTEMBER 1952

Abstract

Wind-velocity data are presented which were obtained from an oil platform located about 15 mi south of Point Chevreuil and 8 mi west of Point Au Fer, La. The wind direction was measured with a Green 8-contract weather vane; the wind speed was obtained with standard 3-cup anemometers. The average speed and directions are given in hourly values.
