THE END-CORRELATION FOR A COAXIAL LINE WHEN DRIVING AN ANTENNA OVER A GROUND SCREEN

Abstract

Theoretical and experimental results obtained by Hartig (Cruft Lab. Technical Report no. 107) for the end-correction for a coaxial line driving an antenna over a ground screen are corrected. Improved theoretical and experimental curves of the quantity -CT/bco are obtained, where -CT is the lumped negative capacitance per unit length of the coaxial line, and b is the inner radius of the outer conductor of the line.
