EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES IN BETA SPECTROSCOPY

Abstract

A description is presented of experimental data for the construction of Beta-ray spectrometers. Sections are devoted to discussions of techniques for constructing the source on backing materials, mountings, the vacuum system and intermediate regions of the spectrometer, detectors including the Geiger-Muller counter and scintillation counter with a photomultiplier tube, and the magnetic field.
