PROCEDURES, MANUALS AND FORMS FOR INTERVIEWING, TABULATING AND COMPILING BILLET ANALYSIS INFORMATION: PART 1

Abstract

Procedures, manuals, and forms are presented for interviewing, tabulating, and compiling billet analysis information. The discussion covers the initial phases of a series of studies of mine warfare personnel administrative procedures. Objectives and by-products of the research are indicated. New methods were devised for job analysis. A group interview technique was used as the basic data-collecting device. Data based on the responses of 1145 interviewees were tabulated and compiled. Certain recommendations, revisions, and modifications were made as a result of analysis of the data. The interview form and manual were considered applicable to other Navy billets.
